A Principal of the staff and students, his legacy will no doubt imbibe enthusiasm for progression and growth.
Our philosophy is based on the Islamic teachings of our Prophet Mohammad (May the peace and blessings of God be upon him). Respect and care for one another is central. Therefore, my fundamental goal is to support our students in developing a strong sense of responsibility and concrete desire to become active members of their community in promoting education and development.
In September 2014, I was appointed as the Principal of the Muslim college, a unique and noble opportunity to lead the UK’s first Muslim College. My vision for The Muslim College is to deliver a challenging and growth mind set education in Islamic studies. That will enable both our staff and students to become part of an organisation which impacts positive change in our communities. Thus, holding positions of both nobility and intellect. In my belief, this principle is laid out and taught to us by God All Mighty,
‘Allah will raise up to (suitable) ranks (and degrees) those of you who believe and who have been granted knowledge. And Allah is well Acquainted with all you do’ (Surah Mujadilah 58:11)
Dr Mohamed Benotman
Principal, The Muslim College
The distinctiveness of the roles of scholars and their position with God is explicated in the Holy Qur’an, Allah further says ‘Say; Are those equal those who know and those who do not know? It’s is those who are endued with understanding that receive admonition’ (Az Zumar 39:9) At the Muslim college we strive to provide an education that meets the needs of all the students. We offer a wide and varied curriculum that is delivered by enthusiastic, specialist Scholars.
We acknowledge the success in academic achievement is challenging, therefore our goal is to support our students to realize and nurture their potential. Thus, we endeavour to provide programmes that meet the needs of all enthusiastic potential students.
